Harley Andrew Pulliam

July 5 1895-September 29, 1955

Harley Andrew Pulliam was born in Scopus Missouri in 1895. He was a son of Henry Calvin and Serilda Jane Long Pulliam. Harley served with the infantry during World War I and was very proud of his military service. After his stay in the military, he was a member of the American Legion and marched in parades as a veteran.

Harley married Mettie Mary Grindstaff and they were the parents of ten children.  Some of Harley’s children are still living. 

Harley and Mettie lost two sons as infants. Lloyd Andrew died at 1 year and 2 days of age. Clyde Gail died at 3 days old.

The other children of Harley and Mettie are; Lowell, George, Mona, Clara, Mary, Norman, Ruth and Pearl.
